ANNOUNCING ALUMNI MARK MEER!

ANNOUNCEMENT! We cannot fathom Northern FanCon without our dear friend & alumni Mr. Mark Meer! Heading in to our 5th anniversary calls for the best and, on top of the impressive nerd bonafide of this gent, he is the supreme overlord of cosplay contest hosts. We are absolutely thrilled to have him back! For those of you who don’t know…

Mark is best known for his work on the Mass Effect Trilogy, voicing the male version of player character Commander Shepard, the entire Vorcha species, Blasto, Niftu Cal, and more. He also appears in many other BioWare games, including the Baldur’s Gate Series and Neverwinter Nights series, Jade Empire, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age: Awakening, Dragon Age II, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. He returned to the Forgotten Realms for the Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear from Beamdog, playing dozens of roles including new NPCs Rasaad yn Bashir and Baeloth the Entertainer. He currently stars as pilot Will MacKenzie in the ongoing survival game The Long Dark from Hinterland Studio. Other voice work includes Blue Wizard Digital‘s 1980’s horror homage Slayaway Camp and the new Captain Canuck animated series by Chapterhouse Publishing.

Mark is a veteran of CBC Radio’s long-running national sketch comedy program CBC’s The Irrelevant Show, a writer and cast member on APTN’s Caution: May Contain Nuts, and a co-creator, writer, and star of the award-winning comedy series Tiny Plastic Men, now available on Amazon Prime in the UK and USA (and coming soon for Canadian audiences!).

Mark always brings the heat to our con and we can’t wait to see him again!
