July 16th

ConFans! Beloved supporters! Friends! We have come so far together and want to start off by reiterating how much your support means to us and to the future of Northern FanCon. We had hoped very much for a miracle to allow us to host our event in September.Despite the fact that British Columbia is doing extremely well in regards to managing COVID, crossing borders and crowd restrictions make it near impossible for guests and fans alike to be a part of a September 25-27/2020 date. The safety and happiness of all our attendees is paramount to any of our decisions regarding our plans for this event. We worked unbelievably hard to save FanCon in 2019 and with your support, we were able to do the impossible and had big plans for FanCon 2020. We realize this has been a complicated time for everyone and we cannot tell you how much it means for you all to stand by us while we adapt to make sure Northern FanCon continues to be strong for many years to come. We have some announcements coming up that will release information about a brand new initiative of the event and some added perks for those of you who have continued to support us in these challenging times.Today, we are announcing that Northern FanCon is being postponed from September 25-27/2020 to November 27-29/2020. As with our original date change, we will be once again hosting a special virtual event during our original alternate dates of September 25-27/2020. Stay tuned for details on this. For those of you who supported our Kickstarter, perks are in the process of being delivered. Many of you will already have received items. We planned on having all merchandise ready for the May event, but that was complicated by COVID. These are now being sent out in waves. Please hang in there a little longer as they are coming. A separate message will be sent out with information pertaining to our supporting vendors and artists of the show later this afternoon.Further, we have some exciting news to share with you in August.  Look forward to Northern FanCon adding a brand new element that will expand our ability to connect you with guests, artists, and vendors of the show in a more consistent mannerIf you would like to keep your ticket for Northern FanCon 2020, you don’t need to take any action. This rollover will happen automatically by August 15th.These are indeed unprecedented times. We are thankful for the support we have received from all of you. This has been a truly challenging time for us all but we are so grateful to know the event will still go ahead thanks to the foundation you have provided us with.
