COn-quest
On Friday May 3rd, 64 people enter and on Sunday May 5th, only 1 person departs victorious!
All entrants will have access to 2 qualifying rounds of on-line gaming challenges leading up to the Northern Fan Con event. The top 64 participants enter Northern Fan Con in a bracketed tournament of gaming. Each round will be different, and the games will be revealed to contestants only moments before the game begins. Participation is limited to Premium and VIP pass holders.
COSPLAY
Fans dressing up in costumes, or cosplay as it called, is a huge part of the show! Literally hundreds of amazing costumes are available for your viewing pleasure throughout the weekend. Don’t be shy, ask for a photo with your favourite characters or come dressed up yourself.
COSPLAY red carpet
Get ready for the Cosplay Red Carpet! No pre-registration, no competition, no stress!! Walk the red carpet and show off your costume in front of your adoring fans! Every participant will have a chance to be photographed on the red carpet in front of the Fan Con media wall.
COSPLAY panels/workshops
Learn how to take your craftsmanship to a new level or meet fellow cosplayers and celebrate the cosplay community at one of our cosplay panels! See schedule for details.
COSPLAY contest
Walk the main stage and show off your cosplay creativity for all to enjoy. Regardless of your experience level, if you want to sign up to be involved in our cosplay contest, there is a division for you, and it is free to join.
divisions
Depending on experience and overall skill level of entries, contestants can request to be placed into separate divisions (Novice, Journeyman, or Master). Entries will be asked during submission to choose the division they feel they are most suited for and eligible to compete for the prize at that division.
- Kids – no need to register. Any kids dressed up will have a chance to walk the stage to start the show.
- Novice – new cosplayers and those who have not received a cosplay contest award.
- Journeyman – cosplayers who have some experience and may have won previous awards.
- Masters – experienced cosplayers who have confidence to participate against the best of the best.
Celebrity photo ops
Don’t miss out on a chance of a lifetime to have your photo taken by a professional photographer with your favourite celebrity. This is the only way to get a beautiful 8×10 glossy photo of you with one of our Guests that will make every single one of your friends jealous.
